What makes up «Total Assets» – and why does the number change?
"Total Assets" shows the total value of your engagement on the platform today. The figure is updated daily and represents the sum of what you have available, what you have invested, and what you have earned.
Here is the breakdown:
To calculate your total assets, we sum up these five components:
- Available funds – Money in your account waiting to be invested or withdrawn.
- Outstanding principal – The actual capital you have lent out in active loans (excluding interest).
- Accrued interest (not due) – Interest you have earned on healthy loans, but which is not yet scheduled for payment.
- Accrued interest (due/overdue) – Interest that should have been paid, but where the borrower is late (before the loan potentially goes into default).
- Pending deposits – Money you have transferred to us that is currently being processed.
Why does the value change from day to day?
Aside from your own deposits and withdrawals, two factors influence your total figure:
- Currency fluctuations: Have you invested in loans in SEK or EUR? Then the value lives its own life in sync with exchange rates. This results in daily adjustments up or down, completely independent of the loan's health.
- Loans in default: If a loan is declared in default, we take a conservative stance. We remove all accrued interest (both overdue and not due) from the calculation of your total assets immediately. This is done to provide you with a conservative estimate of your values.
- Note: The claim against the borrower remains the same (including interest), but in your overview, we zero out the interest value until we potentially recover the funds. Therefore, you may see an "artificial" drop in your value on the day a loan is marked as defaulted.
- Conversely, you will see a positive jump in your values on the day you receive interest payments from a defaulted loan.
